To me, Richies most difficult choice was Joining the army in the first place. Yea, he was coming from a rough family with not a lot of money but he, at first, wanted to go to college and move on to bigger and better things. There was a way for him though to go to college. Richie wanted to be a writer so if he doesnt decide to Join the army, in a few years he could be a famous writer. He also played basketball. He could have earned a basketball scholarship and move to higher levels of the game. Maybe the rmy wasnt the best choice for Richie, but maybe going to college or staying home in that rough neighborhood wouldnt be a good one either. I believe he had many tough decisions but this was his toughest. 3. Physically Richie is in pretty bad shape at the end of the book. He is a hero but he is heavily wounded. He had a tough battle at the end of the book where he was shot a few times but kept going on to save his squad members. Emotionally He has changed a lot from beginning to end. I think that he treasures life more now because he saw some of his friends out there die in battle. He also realizes how he really feels about his family and how he actually loves them and cares for them more now than he knew before. Socially At first, Richie seemed like a pretty shy guy and kind of stayed off to himself. Now at the end, he has many friends in the army and is popular amongst all of the guys. He now isnt too shy and is able to talk and have conversations with people. 4. Richie Perry seems like a pretty cool guy. He doesnt seem to be big headed or talk down on anyone, Just a friendly guy. From what I have read, I would try to make friends with him. I believe that he is a genuine person. He seems to care about all of his squad members, friends, and family. It seems as if he would take a bullet for someone but also watches his own back and cares about his life which is good. He leads an honorable lite. He earned a Red Badge ot Courage tor his honorable choices in Vietnam and he is always looking out for his brother, Kenny. Richie Just really seems like a good person and someone you would want to fight next to in a war. He would have your back. 5. I thought that the title didnt really make sense with the book itself. Yes, people died fell) but they werent really angels. This didnt really seem like the best bunch of people. I did think that the title was clever though. I think a better title might be Fallen Soldiers. When I first read the title Fallen Angels, I didnt really think it was a book about war. If it was soldiers, then I think the book would get more attention. Fallen angles made me think that it was more of a girly book. If it was Fallen Soldiers, then it would be thought of to have some blood and gore in it. With the word angels in it, I thought it might be about cats or something that died. But now I know its true when they say, Dont Judge a book by its cover. 6. I think it was effective. I liked it how they made him know he was going back to the world. If I changed it, I would have Peewee die. I think Richie would learn more from that. Then have someone else from another unit on the plane next to Richie so they could talk about their different experiences from the war. Then they became friends and hung out back in the U. S. Then the title would seem to make sense because Richie would always have Peewee looking over him as his angel. Profile of Child Predator Nathaniel Bar-Jonah Nathaniel Bar-Jonah was a convicted child predator that was serving a 130-year prison sentence after being found guilty of repeatedly molesting, torturing and attempting to murder children. He was also suspected of killing a child and then disposing of the body through cannibalistic ways that involved his unsuspecting neighbors. Childhood Years Nathaniel Bar-Jonah was born David Paul Brown on February 15, 1957, in Worcester, Massachusetts. As early as age seven, Bar-Jonah demonstrated severe signs of depraved thinking and violence. In 1964, after receiving an Ouija board for his birthday, Bar-Jonah lured a five-year-old girl into his basement and tried to strangle her, but his mother intervened after hearing the child screaming.   In 1970, 13-year-old Bar-Jonah sexually assaulted a six-year-old boy after promising to take him sledding. A few years later he planned to murder two boys in a cemetery, but the boys became suspicious and got away. At 17 years of age, Bar-Jonah pled guilty after being arrested for dressing as a policeman and beating and choking an eight-year-old boy who he ordered into his car. After the beating, the child recognized Brown who was working at a local McDonalds and he was arrested, charged and convicted. Bar-Jonah received a year of probation for the crime. Kidnapping and Attempted Murder Three years later, Bar-Jonah dressed as a policeman again and kidnapped two boys, made them undress and then began strangling them. One of the boys was able to escape and contact the police. Authorities arrested Brown and the other child was located, handcuffed inside his trunk. Bar-Jonah was charged with attempted murder and received a 20-year prison sentence. Sick Thoughts While incarcerated Bar-Jonah shared some of his fantasies of murder, dissection, and cannibalism with his psychiatrist who made the decision in 1979 to commit Bar-Jonah to the Bridgewater State Hospital for Sexual Predators. Bar-Jonah remained at the hospital until 1991, when Superior Court Judge Walter E. Steele decided that the state had failed to prove he was dangerous. Bar-Jonah left the institution with a promise from his family to the court that they would be moving to Montana. Massachusetts Sends the Problem to Montana Bar-Jonah attacked another boy three weeks after his release and was arrested on assault charges, but managed to be released without bail. A deal was made that required that Bar-Jonah join his family in Montana. He also received two years probation. Bar-Jonah kept his word and left Massachusetts. Once in Montana, Bar-Jonah met with his probation officer and disclosed some of his past crimes. A request was made to the Massachusetts probation office to send more records regarding Bar-Jonah’s history and psychiatric past, but no additional records were sent. Bar-Jonah managed to stay away from police until 1999 when he was arrested near an elementary school in Great Falls, Montana, dressed as a policeman and carrying a stun gun and pepper spray. Authorities searched his home and found thousands of pictures of boys and a list of boys names who were from Massachusetts and Great Falls. Police also uncovered encrypted writings, decoded by the FBI, that included statements such as little boy stew, little boy pot pies and lunch is served on the patio with roasted child. Authorities concluded that Bar-Jonah was responsible for the 1996 disappearance of 10-year-old Zachary Ramsay who vanished on his way to school. It was believed that he kidnapped and murdered the child then cut up his body for stews and hamburgers that he served to unsuspecting neighbors at a cookout. In July 2000, Bar-Jonah was charged with Zachary Ramsay’s murder and for kidnapping and sexually assaulting three other boys who lived above him in an apartment complex. The charges involving Ramsay were dropped after the boys mother said she did not believe Bar-Jonah killed her son. For the other charges, Bar-Jonah was sentenced to 130 years in prison for sexually assaulting one boy and torturing another by suspending him from a kitchen ceiling. In December  2004, the Montana Supreme Court turned down Bar-Jonah’s appeals and upheld the conviction and 130-year prison sentence. On April 13, 2008, Nathaniel Bar-Jonah was found dead in his prison cell. Berlingske media which is owned by a UK based Mecom Group plc has maintained its position in the industry after having different activities of mergers and alliances with other newspaper companies. Decline can be significantly analyzed as in 1993 74 percent of the mature population is been reading one newspaper daily, it decreased in 2006 to 72.5 and in 2008 it was 68.9 percent(Jauert, 2010). Danish daily news papers had a very sever war for the advertising revenue in the past, which resulted in the loss of revenue for many companies as they trapped in the competition and tried to lower down the prices and finally got a big loss. In 1995 Danish newspaper were sharing 35 percent of the overall advertising market which was in came down in 2005 with 27 percent and in 2008 it became 19 percent. And this situation developed because of the main route cause of internet advertisement (Jauert, 2010). As a solution to the problem Berlingske media now changed the strategy and started to publish two of the free new newspapers, and the loss for publication of these two was about 1 million DKK every day. They also had been affected by the major pronlem of the distribution for these papers, and many of the free news papers could not survive because of the decreasing revenue from advertisements and also because of having great difficulties and cost problem in distribution. Here its important to mention that in regards to paid news papers Berlingske here adopted the proactive strategy or in other words strategy is called first mover advantage,the cocept is presented by Vaccaro (2009) who mentioned two strategies,one is called proactive or assertive and the second is described as reactive or defensive approach,the difference between these two is the implementation of the strategy according to the changes happening around in the environment. Then another free news paper comes in the market called Urban which is product of Berlingske Media, and statistics revealed by Dansk Oplagskontrol(Danish Bureau of Circulation) of 2008 showed that 15 weekly and 49 monthly magazines were there in the market, and according to Jauert weekly magazines were distributed in 1.8 million copies in 2008 whereas in the same year 1.140 monthly magazines were distributed. But this ratio has continnuosly been decreasing and as a result in 2006 it was 1.6 million for weeklies and 1.3 for monthlies and further in 2008 it became 1.4 million for weeklies and 1.3 million for monthlies and quarterlies (Jauert, 2010).
